Whitney Irvin  grew up in Georgia and attended the University of Georgia earning her a Bachelor of Fine Arts.  She explored New York City while applying to Graduate Schools. Choosing MILLS College, Whitney  moved to the  San Francisco Bay Area. In 2008, Whitney graduated from Mills fulfilling her requirements and gaining a Master of Fine Arts. After a brief stint in New York City, Whitney has returned to her home in the Bay Area. She now lives in Oakland and is the assistant to Ron Nagle, sculptor.
